The IV Russian-UK Raw Materials Dialogue

The IV RUSSIAN-UK RAW MATERIALS DIALOGUE: "THE GREEN STRATEGIES AND RAW MATERIALS: RESPONSIBLE SOLUTIONS" will cover three areas. Participants will discuss the energy transition and the role of traditional resources and hydrogen, green mining, and innovations in the mineral resources sector. Gazprom PAO, PhosAgro PAO, Sibur Holding, Polyus PAO (PJSC) and other leading mineral resources companies in Russia, and major companies and universities in the UK, such as Oxford University, will participate in the Dialogue.

Participants of the Dialogue are expected to voice their expert opinions on the stated issues, compare the stances of Russia and the UK on the particular topics of discussions and share new approaches and technologies. The organizers of the event believe that there is great interest in the UK in the mining and technology sector of the Russian Federation. The British expect to hear from the Russian side about promising technologies and solutions to challenging issues of the fuel and energy, and raw materials sector. There will also be an opportunity to compare the energy positions of the two countries. The UK has adopted the green energy agenda, but, at the same time, has a fairly strong oil and gas industry. Russian researchers, politicians and industrialists want to know how their UK counterparts plan to combine these two sectors. The UK is, in turn, interested in Russian perspectives.

The Russian-UK discussions are expected to demonstrate that there is a lot of common ground that will provide opportunities for collaborative projects.

The programme is scheduled over two days.

The Dialogue will take place online.
